Bye, Xivio

Xivio will never go up again.

Xivio was fun, I hope y’all had fun too. We had great memories.

The reason?

The domain is expired, and Paradox is leaving software development, he’s giving up.

I ran a temp server for a few days but Paradox had me shut it off. It was wrong of me to run that temp server without his permission. I didn’t think Gavin would mind.

Anyways, since Xivio is down, I’m making my own virtual world, no clue when it’ll be up, may not even come up. I’ve started a new blog for it!

I’ll never forget Xivio. I hope Xivio made as large an impression on you as it did me. I learned a lot. Xivio was a virtual world like no other, and there will probably never be another like it. Xivio was extremely unique, Paradox did a great job.

2011 in review

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2011 annual report for this blog.

That’s what I’ve got so far. A spinning cube and a loader. OH and, IT SCALES!

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

This means no matter how big or small your screen is, it’ll resize to fill the entire browser window, a feature that I wanted Xivio to have but because of it’s initial design wasn’t possible.

The rendering style is almost done, one more aspect needed, a black outline.

I can begin!

I can begin development on my new game, Adobe has release Flash Player 11, allowing amazing 3D effects. It may be a while, I’ll start a blog on the development, stay tuned!

Xivio for-fun server up!

I’ve set up a temporary Xivio server for old users to play on! (The database is from 2010).

All information on this server will not be moved to real xivio, this is only for fun! But all rules still apply!

I’m still working on the website for it but right now you can log in and chat, there are no items except 3d ones, so your faces on your avis won’t show up.

Right now there’s no way to register, so you’ll have to try to remember your password from 2010. If you forgot your password then leave a comment and put your real email in the email box and tell me your username and I’ll send you your password.

YUP! Xivio should be up within a month or so!

I’m deeply sorry that it wasn’t open all summer, I really was it was. I really hope that Xivio can support itself. When I turn 18 I can own Xivio all myself, for the time being Paradox will still own it.

Status Update

I believe Xivio can make enough money to support itself.

I can do it.

 

All I need is my parents permission, and I can get the server and start Xivio up.
